| This page contains information on how to get support for SimPy, report bugs, request features . . . There are a number of ways of getting support:
SimPy mailing listsSimPy User GroupThis public mailing list provides an information exchange platform between SimPy users (simulation developers) on success stories, application areas, questions on how to implement a model in SimPy, etc. The list is for all skill/experience levels, newbies are explicitly welcome! Subscribe at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/simpy-users Post a message by sending e-mail to: simpy-users at lists.sourceforge.net Message archive: simpy-users archive SimPy Developers GroupThis is a private mailing list for communication with and between the members of the SimPy development project team. Although the development team members have to be skilled in Python and eventually SimPy, software-related postings from newbies are always welcome. But: read the SimPy manuals first for solving your problem! You can join this mailing list after joining the project team at http://sourceforge.net/projects/simpy/ . Post a message by sending e-mail to: simpy-developer at lists.sourceforge.net
Publishing questions on the SimPy wikiThere is a SimPy wiki at http://www.mcs.vuw.ac.nz/cgi-bin/wiki/SimPy where you can start discussions by publishing your input/questions/issues.
SimPy Core Development TeamKlaus Müllere-mail: kgmuller at users.sourceforge.net Lead software engineer for SimPy. Send him an e-mail when you need support on
a SimPy software-related issue. Always send a copy to the SimPy Developers and
SimPy User Group mailing lists! Tony Vignauxe-mail: vignaux at users.sourceforge.net Lead for all simulation and modeling issues in SimPy. Send him an e-mail when you need support on a SimPy simulation-related question. Always send a copy to the SimPy User Group mailing list!
Reporting bugsIf, after communication with the SimPy mailing lists, you are convinced that you have discovered a bug, please, report it at the SimPy bug page at SourceForge. (There, you may even find that this bug has already been reported.) This will lead to the bug being assigned to a developer. On that page, you can also track the progress of the developers in dealing with your bug. Requesting features for future SimPy versionsIf you wish to propose new features for SimPy, communicate your proposal to the SimPy mailing lists first for initial feedback. Then, submit your proposal to the SimPy Feature Requests page. You will be given an answer ASAP. The will then be considered in the planning and scheduling of future SimPy releases. This is the only way proposals for new features will/can be entertained!
